A car passenger has admitted a charge of aiding and abetting death by dangerous driving after a crash in which an 18-year-old woman was killed.

Amber Deakin died on 3 January 2023 when a Vauxhall Vectra being driven by Jordan Spalding crashed on Baildon Road in Bradford, following a police chase.

Shakeel Ahmed, of Moresby Road in Bradford, pleaded guilty to one offence relating to the incident at Bradford Crown Court on Friday.

The 28-year-old was charged alongside 22-year-old Spalding, who has already admitted causing the young mother's death by dangerous driving.

The pair will both be sentenced at a later date yet to be fixed.

Ahmed was remanded back into custody by Judge Sophie McKone.

The Vectra was carrying six people at the time of the crash.

Miss Deakin's son was 16 months old when she died. Her mother, Hayley Norton, said: "She was larger than life, a great daughter and a really good mum - even though she was young, she was doing amazing."
