A motorist slashed another driver's car tyre at traffic lights after an apparent row about a parking space and police are now appealing for witness or dashcam footage.

Essex Police said it was reported the attack happened on West Street in Southend, at about 23:20 GMT on Saturday, 8 February.

Officers said a couple in a black Seat car were involved in a parking dispute with the driver of a grey Nissan Micra.

Appealing for new information, police said the Micra driver followed the Seat to traffic lights at the junction with Victoria Avenue, where he got out and damaged one of the Seat's tyres with a knife.
