Man in court accused of causing cyclist's death

Long Wan was granted unconditional bail

A man charged with causing death by dangerous driving in Sheffield has appeared in court.

Long Wan, 33, of Beckenham, London, is accused of driving the white Mazda 3 which hit cyclist Richard Bower, 55 on Rivelin Valley Road on 29 September 2023.

Mr Bower was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after the collision and died on 22 October.

Mr Wan was granted unconditional bail at Sheffield Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, and the case sent to Sheffield Crown Court.
