Police appeal for witnesses to dog attack in park
A woman has been injured by a dog after intervening to protect her own dog from an attack.
Northamptonshire Police said the incident happened near the children's play area in Hunsbury Park Hill, Northampton.
The woman's dog was attacked by two other animals on the morning of Wednesday 18 December, and when she stepped in, one of the dogs scratched her, causing minor injuries.
Police want to speak to the owners of the two dogs, believed to be pit bull and husky breeds.
The pit bull was described as having a stocky, muscular build and large patches of dark colours, while the husky was white with spots of grey on its fur.
The first owner is a white man described as being in his mid-20s and with short red hair. He was wearing jeans and a dark blue bomber jacket.
The second owner, a woman, was described as having medium-length blonde hair, glasses and missing front teeth. She was wearing jeans, a white jacket and walking boots.
Detectives would also like to hear from any witnesses.
