Hundreds caught speeding on stretch of M1 - police

Hundreds of drivers have been caught speeding on a stretch of the M1 near Sheffield where a temporary restriction is in place, police have warned.
The speed limit on the Tinsley Viaduct near junction 34 had recently been reduced to 50mph (80km/h) in both directions due to damage to the safety barriers.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said the force's safety camera and ticket processing team was "seeing hundreds of offences committed daily from people not respecting the limit".
The repairs were not expected to be completed until the end of March and drivers should stick to the speed limit to keep people safe, they added.
