Tribute to 'doting mum' who died in rural crash

A woman who died following a crash on a rural road in Cornwall has been named by police as 33-year-old Charlotte Herring.

Ms Herring, from the Bodmin area, died at the scene of the crash near St Teath at about 21:50 GMT on 15 January.

Her family said she had been "a doting mum, daughter and sister who will forever be remembered for her infectious laugh, zest for life and collection of leopard-print clothes".

Devon and Cornwall Police has asked anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to contact investigating officers.

'Heart-breaking time'

The family said in a statement: "Her passing will leave a huge hole, not just in the lives of her friends and family, whom she loved dearly, but within the local community, in which she played a vital role.

"We'd like to thank the emergency services for their ongoing work at this heart-breaking time, as well as family, friends and loved ones for their endless support.

"Charlotte's memory will continue to live on in those who knew and loved her."

Police said officers were still working to try to establish the circumstances of the crash.
