Boy walking 50 miles for charity for fifth time
A Jersey boy is taking on a walking challenge to raise money for dementia support for the fifth year in a row.
Solly, eight, has completed the Dementia Jersey 50 Mile Challenge each time he has attempted it.
He has raised £290 so far this year and over the past five years has raised more than £5,000 for the charity.
Solly said: "It feels great that I'm raising money for people in need."
Solly often walks the lanes near his home with his family but also heads along paths around the island.
"Sometimes I'm walking and I don't know where I'm going but I really enjoy it," he said.
Solly said of memory loss, a common symptom of dementia: "You're still a person, but you just can't remember your friends, family and things you've done."
Dementia Jersey praised Solly as a "super star" on social media.
