A person has been arrested after a man was grabbed by the throat during a road rage incident.

Police officers were called to a collision involving two Ford transit vans - one black and one white - on the A46 Ashchurch Road in Tewkesbury at about 07:40 GMT on 22 November.

It was reported that following an argument between the two drivers, one of the men grabbed the other by the throat, causing minor injuries.

A 42-year-old man from Swindon was arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm, and was released on bail. Police are now appealing for further witnesses to come forward.

Officers have already spoken to surrounding businesses and reviewed CCTV footage, Gloucestershire Police said.

But the force would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or the reported assault, who has not already contacted them.
