Two arrested over alleged rape of man in Brighton
Two men have been arrested after a 19-year-old man reported being raped in Brighton.
The alleged assault happened in Steine Lane at around 03:30 GMT on Saturday, Sussex Police said.
The victim had been approached by two unknown men earlier near Harry Ramsdens restaurant in Old Steine, the force said.
A 40-year-old man from Redhill, Surrey, and a 42-year-old man from Chessington, Kingston-Upon-Thames, were arrested on suspicion of rape on Boxing Day and remain in custody.
Det Insp Sean Booth said: "These arrests were as a direct result of excellent work from our dedicated team of staff, officers and the public."
The victim is receiving support from specialist officers during the investigation.
Police are still appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
