Driver dies after hitting bollard in crash

A driver has died after his car hit a bollard, police have said.

He was found unresponsive by emergency crews following the crash in Woodplumpton Road, Preston, at about 08:40 GMT.

The man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

While appealing for information or camera footage, Det Supt Matt Davidson from Lancashire Police said: "First and foremost our thoughts are with the family of the man involved in the collision this morning."
