Motorist have been warned of travel disruption along a section of the TT course while survey works take place.

Diversions have been put in place on the A3 between Ballig Bridge and Cronk Y Voddy between 09:30 and 15:30 GMT until Friday.

The Department of Infrastructure said as well as the survey works themselves, the closures was also being used to carry out "cyclical road maintenance tasks".

Buses would be guided through the works while the route was shut, the department said.

The survey work was being carried out between Glen Helen and Sarah's Cottage and was weather dependent, being particularly vulnerable to high winds.

Traffic from the St John's direction has been diverted via the Poortown Road, and along the Kirk Michael to Peel Coast Road for those travelling from the north.
