Man charged with attempted abduction of girl, 3

A man has been charged with the attempted abduction of a three-year-old girl in Wolverhampton.

West Midlands Police received reports of an incident in Leicester Street in the city at about 17:15 GMT on Thursday.

A 37-year-old man who was arrested has been charged with attempted child abduction, assault, and affray, police said.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Walsall Magistrates' Court on Monday.
