The crash happened on the Steeple Road near Antrim town

A man has died following a crash involving a motorbike and a lorry in County Antrim.

It happened on the Steeple Road, near Antrim town, at about 09:35 GMT on Thursday.

The motorcyclist died at the scene, police said.

The Steeple Road remains closed and diversions are in place at the junction of Rough Lane.

Police have asked drivers to avoid the area.

Earlier, the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said that it had dispatched two emergency crews, one rapid response vehicle and a doctor to the incident but no one had been taken from the scene.
