A man has been charged with sending malicious communications to Safeguarding Minister Jess Phillips

A man from Devon has been charged with sending malicious communications to Safeguarding Minister Jess Phillips, police have confirmed.

Jack Bennett, 39, from Seaton, was charged with three counts of sending malicious communications, to three separate people, including the Birmingham Yardley MP, said Devon and Cornwall Police.

The incidents were believed to have taken place between April 2024 and January 2025.

Mr Bennett was bailed to appear before Exeter Magistrates' Court on 18 February.
