Gallery hosts major retrospective of famed artist

A retrospective exhibition by the celebrated painter David Remfrey is to open at a gallery in East Yorkshire.
Remfrey studied at Hull College of Art in the early 1960s before moving to London and later New York, where he had a studio in the famed Chelsea Hotel.
Beverley Art Gallery will host more than 60 of his works, beginning on 25 March, and will also hold a talk by the artist.
Remfry said he was "excited to see it all brought together in this way for the first time".
"I've always thought of Yorkshire as where I'm from," he added.
"I'm grateful to Hannah Willetts, the curator of the Beverley Art Gallery, for supporting this in-depth review of my work to date."
Remfry is a member of the Royal Academy of Arts (RA) and is known for his large watercolour works, many depicting New York, where he lived for more than 20 years.
The exhibition will run for three months.
