An MP has called for greater access to culture and sport in her constituency following the closure of the town's last remaining cinema.
Speaking in the House of Commons, Rosie Wrighting, Labour MP for Kettering, highlighted how the town had lost five cinemas over the years, including the recently closed Odeon.
She also raised concerns about the need for investment in other local venues, including the town's swimming pool and art gallery.
Ms Wrighting said: "Constituencies like Kettering have been hit hard by the Conservatives' cultural vandalism and my constituents are missing out as a result."

Last year, North Northamptonshire Council announced it would lose £5m in funding for cultural development, initially pledged by the former Conservative government.
The funding, which was allocated in the Spring Budget, was aimed at enhancing cultural projects across the area.
Jason Smithers, leader of the authority, said at the time that the local authority was "disappointed" by the decision, and warned that it would have a "major impact" on the delivery of planned projects.
The council has been contacted for further comment.
'Extremely good subject'
Ms Wrighting added: "A number of constituents have contacted me about the Odeon closure and I understand their concerns and disappointment – it was a venue I grew up going to and I had many happy memories of it.
"Having access to films, museums and art and a swimming pool that is fit for modern purpose is important."
The MP then asked for a debate on the "huge" importance of access to local culture and sport.
Lucy Powell, the leader of the House, said the idea would make for a "extremely good subject" for a backbench business debate.
