Sunrise suicide awareness walk returns

A walk which aims to raise awareness of suicide is returning for its fifth year.
Mental health charity Guernsey Mind has launched 2025's Sunrise Walk of Hope which sees walkers set off at 04:00 BST for the 5k fundraiser.
The event on Sunday, 22 June takes walkers from Vale Castle along the east coast and will finish at the Bathing Pools at La Vallette.
Mind's events lead Amanda Hibbs said: "The walk aims to raise awareness and support Mind's work in suicide prevention and care."
She added: "We're now in our fifth year and every year it gets bigger and bigger."
Registration starts at 03:40 BST and people can pin photos or names to their clothing if they are walking in memory of someone.
In 2024, 740 people took part.
