Police have issued a fresh appeal for help to find a woman who went missing seven years ago.

Georgina Gharsallah was last seen in Clifton Road, Worthing, on 7 March 2018.

Det Supt Andy Wolstenholme has written an open letter to people who might know what happened to her.

The letter reads: "Seven long years, you've kept a secret that is causing so much pain and heartbreak. Isn't it time you gave it up?"

"Georgina is loved and missed by so many people," it adds.

"They are desperate for answers about what happened to her on this day in March 2018. Don't you think they deserve to know?"

On the day she went missing, Ms Gharsallah had arranged to meet her father, Gasem, after collecting a mobile phone, but she did not turn up.

She was last seen on CCTV, in a shop on Clifton Road at 10:30 GMT, with a second unconfirmed sighting at about 16:00, walking down Chapel Road with an as yet unidentified woman.

Sussex police hope the letter will encourage someone to come forward and provide answers for the family.

The letter continues: "The information you have could bring an end to all the unanswered questions and provide some form of closure to Georgina's family."
