Man jailed for sex offences against teenage girl

A man who sexually abused an underage teenage girl has been jailed.
Marcus Lee Noble, 26, from York, was found guilty of three charges of causing a child to engage in sexual activity at York Crown Court.
He was also convicted of failing to provide police with the password to his mobile phone.
Noble was sentenced to five years and one month in prison at the same court on Friday.
Noble's conviction followed an investigation into the sexual abuse of an underage teenage girl when he was 23.
Det Con Marcus Furneaux-Harris said the victim had shown "maturity and mental strength beyond her years," when telling officers about the abuse.
He said: "No teenage girl should ever have to go through this, especially at the hands of a grown man who has lied from the beginning of the investigation.
"Noble took full advantage of her age and abused her for his own sexual gratification."
Det Con Furneaux-Harris said Noble's conviction for failing to provide the passcode to his mobile phone should send "a clear message to anyone who tries to frustrate a police investigation".
