Pedestrian in his 80s dies after collision with van

An elderly man died in hospital nearly two weeks after a collision with a van in Harwich, Essex, police have said.

The incident happened on Main Road, near the junction with King George's Avenue, at about 7:40 GMT on 27 November.

It involved a silver Ford Transit Courier van and a pedestrian – a man in his 80s – who died on 10 December.

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "Detectives investigating a fatal collision in Harwich are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward."
