Two children and two women have been injured in a crash in Cornwall.

Police officers were called to the A388 at about 14:30 GMT on Wednesday after a collision involved a white Ford Focus and a blue Nissan Qashqai.

The front seat passenger in the Ford Focus - a woman in her 80s - is being treated for potentially life-changing injuries, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

The Qashqai driver - a woman in her 40s - and two children in the Ford Focus all suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed while investigation work took place and officers have appealed for witnesses.
