A former hospital radio DJ has been found guilty of historic sex offences against a teenage boy.

Adrian Phipps, 65, was convicted of two counts of indecent assault against the boy in 1995, when he was working as a DJ at Harrogate District Hospital.

The assaults happened at a shop in the North Yorkshire town, York Crown Court heard.

The jury found Phipps not guilty of six other indecent assault charges.

Phipps, from Harrogate, pleaded guilty on Monday to a further three counts of making indecent images of a child.

He is due to be sentenced at York Crown Court on 12 August.
