Two further arrests have been made in connection with a disturbance on a Glasgow street that left three people seriously injured.

A man, 49, and a woman, 48, were taken to hospital after being found on Argyle Street at about 01:10 on Tuesday.

Police Scotland confirmed the injured pair have been arrested for serious assault.

A 76-year-old man, who was found in a property on Blantyre Street, was previously arrested for serious assault.

Officers also said a 48-year-old man, who was initially arrested for robbery, has now been charged with serious assault.

He was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

A force spokesperson said officers were remaining in the area to carry out inquiries and asked anyone with further information to come forward.
