Five injured after car crashes during police pursuit

Five people have been taken to hospital after a car crash which happened during a police pursuit.
Officers had signalled for a silver Kia Sedona to pull over after noticing it was "acting suspiciously" in Godstone at about 22:15 GMT on Friday, according to Surrey Police.
The Kia sped off and was pursued by officers but collided with a passing car in Oxted Road, injuring both people in the Kia and three people in the passing car.
A 36-year-old man, from St Leonards-on-Sea in East Sussex, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He was also arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol and drugs, driving without a license and insurance, theft of a motor vehicle, handling stolen goods and fraud by false representation.
He has been bailed pending further investigation.
Surrey Police said the injuries of two people in the passing car were serious and urged anyone who saw the crash or the moments leading up to it to come forward.
The force said it had made a mandatory referral for itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct following the crash, as it had happened during a police pursuit.
