A pottery firm in Stoke-on-Trent says it has temporarily moved to a three-day working week in one of its departments.
The Caverswall English China Company said the reduction in hours in its lithographing operation reflected a seasonal dip in business.
It follows news that the Royal Stafford pottery firm entered administration earlier this month and Portmeirion announced redundancies.
Caverswall expects a normal working week to resume by the end of February, a spokesperson says, confirming no other statement would be released on the issue.
