Boys charged with Facebook Marketplace robberies
Two 17-year-old boys have been charged with robberies linked to adverts on Facebook Marketplace.
The pair, who cannot be named due to their age, were due to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court charged with three robberies and one attempted robbery in the city.
Greater Manchester Police said there had been a series of incidents in which people had been targeted after arranging to meet online sellers who claimed to be selling a bicycle on the platform.
The force said victims had been assaulted, with one suffering serious injuries during the incidents, which happened between 20 December and 21 January.
