Meet the teenager hiking London Underground routes
A student with a passion for public transport has gained more than 400,000 views on TikTok for posts showing his hikes replicating London's Tube line routes.
Jai, 16, from central London, initially took on the Victoria line in August last year, where he walked from Walthamstow Central to Brixton above ground.
The GCSE student has covered six of the 11 Underground lines so far, with the shortest being the Waterloo & City line, which he completed in 31 minutes.
Having most recently completed the Bakerloo line in December, Jai said he now planned to "walk the whole of London".
Jai said his favourite route so far had been the Hammersmith & City line, which took seven hours and 43 minutes to complete, because he enjoyed exploring Shepherd's Bush at night.
He said planning his routes was fairly straightforward.
"I'll just look on a map and see what is doable within a day," he said.
"The first line I did was the Victoria line last summer and it got 200 views at the time, but then when I posted about the Bakerloo line one, it blew up.
"After that, I thought: 'Why don't I just walk the whole of London?'"
Jai said walking was a great hobby and he had received messages from people who asked to join him.
He said his top tip for others wanting to complete the challenge was to be resilient.
"I barely take any breaks," he said.
"When I do take one it is for two minutes to go to Tesco and get Bourbons [biscuits] or something like that."
He added: "This is just the start - I know a lot about trains but I am obsessed with buses so would love to cover the bus routes."
