Businesses on the Mount Edgcumbe Estate in Cornwall said they are hugely grateful to be reopening, just two weeks after a fire ripped through neighbouring buildings.

More than 40 firefighters tackled the blaze, which left some staff homeless.

The Farriers cafe, which lost power and donated all of its freezer food to the local community, has now reopened.

Shane Perry, who owns the cafe, said: "There's no damage to our building structure at all its just the electric got taken out."

He said: "The park manager, his team and builders knew there was a pressure to get us open as quick as possible and that's what motivated them to get it done.

"It's a huge relief, I didn't think we were going to open so soon but there we are... we're ready to go."
