A woman is to stand trial charged with the murder of another woman in Aberdeen.

Dionne Wilson, 31, denies killing Sara Irvine, 34, at a property in the city's Auchinleck Road in April last year.

It is alleged she struggled with Miss Irvine, pulled her hair, and tried to punch her, before stabbing her on the body with a knife.

The case called before the High Court in Glasgow and a trial was set for later this year.

The accused is separately charged with attempting to murder a man - listed on the indictment as her partner - on the same date at another property in Aberdeen.

He is said to have been struck on the neck and head with an object unknown to prosecutors.

Ms Wilson faces other charges, including that she was in possession of knives in a public place.

The trial, before Lady Drummond, is scheduled to start in November.
