Drivers are being warned to plan ahead as a roundabout on a major route through Dorset is resurfaced.

The overnight work in Wimborne on the A31 Roundhouse Roundabout will see the north section shut for two nights from 20 January followed by the south section for two nights from 22 January.

The roundabout will be closed between 21:00 and 06:00 GMT.

National Highways said signed diversions would be in place via the A31 and A350.

Residents and businesses whose only access is off the A31 will be escorted from the Lake Gates roundabout.

National Highways said for the first two nights residents would not have access to the A31 from Candys Lane.

Drivers who need to get fuel from the Esso Service Station will be escorted in from the Lake Gates Roundabout.
