Driver charged over death of boy, 9, in crash

A woman has been charged over a crash which killed a nine-year-old boy in her car.

Zac Roe, from Andover, Hampshire, was pronounced dead at the scene on the A354 at East Woodyates, Dorset, on 25 March.

Barbara Roe, 38, of Ludgershall in Wiltshire, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

She is due to appear before Poole magistrates on 31 January.

The crash involved a car, a van and a cattle truck and trailer

Police were called at 17:21 GMT to a collision involving a Ford Transit van, a DAF cattle transporter truck and trailer and the Citreon DS9 the pair were in.

Following his death, Zac's family issued statements paying tribute to him.

His father Josh Roe said: "You are my little angel. I love you more than anything in this world. You are my best buddy."

Zac's grandfather Chris Roe said: "Zac, there are just no words to find.

"I just want to thank you for the wonderful and fun-filled memories we shared on your short journey of your life."
