Ex-PC had sexual activity with teen - panel
A former student police officer engaged in sexual activity with a 14-year-old boy in his car, a misconduct hearing heard.
The panel found Ahmad Shoaib, 38, would have been dismissed from West Mercia Police if he had not already resigned.
Mr Shoaib was off-duty on 29 April 2023 when he met with the teenager in his car in a public place, the force said.
He was arrested by West Midlands Police who told West Mercia and Mr Shoaib was suspended while an investigation took place.
West Midlands Police said there was not enough evidence to charge him with a criminal offence and he was released with no further action taken.
The hearing found the former PC breached a standard of discreditable conduct.
Deputy Chief Constable Rachel Jones said PC Shoaib had been in the early stages of his police training.
"I'm glad that this allegation came to light so quickly so that we were able to take action before he had the chance to work with the public," she added.
Mr Shoaib will be added to the College of Policing's Barred List, banning him from working for a UK police service in the future.
The outcome of the hearing was subject to the normal appeals process, the force added.
