Alderney by-election nominations open on Friday

Nominations for Alderney's by-election will open on Friday, the island's government has said.

Nominations for the two vacant seats in the States of Alderney will open at 09:00 GMT on 14 February and close at 16:00 on 21 February, the States said.

The ballot will be held on 8 March at Island Hall, in the island's capital St Anne.

Anyone not registered to vote has until 13 February to get on to the electoral roll, the States said.
