Man, 50, arrested over suspicious death at flat

A 50-year-old man has been arrested over the death of a man at a flat in North Lanarkshire.

The body of James McMaster, 53, was found when officers were called to Maxton Crescent in Wishaw at about 14:10 on 5 December.

The death was treated as suspicious after a post-mortem examination suggested he had been the victim of an attack

Police Scotland said its inquiries into the incident were ongoing.

Det Ch Insp Bob Williamson said: "I would urge anyone who knew James to think back to the last time they saw or spoke to him and to get in touch."
