A man has appeared in court and denied murder following a fatal stabbing in Sheffield.

Bradley Hollis, 35, was found injured at a property on Barlow Drive, Stannington, on Sunday morning and died a short time later.

Michael James, 44, of Barlow Drive, pleaded not guilty to murder and possessing a bladed article in a public place at Sheffield Crown Court on Wednesday.

He also denied assault occasioning actual bodily harm of a second alleged victim on the same day.

James was returned to custody ahead of his trial, which will begin on 30 September at the same court.
