Man in his 30s dies after car hits tree

A man in his 30s has died after the car he was driving crashed into a tree.

Police were called to the scene on the A3090, between Hursley Road and Hook Road near Chandlers Ford in Hampshire, just before 04:00 BST on Monday.

The man from Crookhill, who was driving a red Fiat Punto, died at the scene.

His family have been notified and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary are appealing for witnesses.
