Suspected XL bullies killed after man, 84, attacked

Two dogs thought to be XL bullies were destroyed by armed police after an elderly man was attacked at a home.
The 84-year-old was seriously hurt in the incident in Bardsley Avenue, Warrington, at about 18:00 GMT on Monday, Cheshire Police said.
A woman, 29, was later arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a dog dangerously out of control causing serious injury.
A police spokesman said the victim was taken to Aintree hospital.
A third, smaller dog, was seized at the scene, the spokesman added.
