Barn blaze prompts asbestos fears
A barn fire which saw "large volumes of smoke blown around the area" is thought to have been started deliberately, police have said.
The blaze took hold at Broomhall Farm in Ushaw Moor, County Durham, at 21:20 BST on Sunday.
Durham Police said they suspected the barn may have contained some asbestos in its roof.
The fire was extinguished in the early hours of Monday morning with no reported injuries.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene on Sunday night, before the fire was extinguished shortly before 00:45 BST on Monday , County Durham and Darlington Fires and Rescue Service said.
