Woman charged with possession of firearm and ammo

A woman has been bailed after being charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Marie Pitman, of east Bristol, was arrested on Monday after officers seized a weapon during a policing operation.

The 36-year-old appeared at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Thursday, where she was released on bail.

She is set to next appear at Bristol Crown Court on 9 April.
