Road closed after 'five-vehicle crash'

A road has been closed in both directions following a multi-vehicle crash.

Cambridgeshire Police were called to the A605 Elton bypass near Peterborough at about 12:45 BST.

A spokesperson for the force said emergency services were currently at the scene and it was believed that "five vehicles were involved [in the incident] at this stage".

Posting on X, they warned motorists that the road was likely to remain closed for some time.
