Nearly 2,000 people have replied to a survey about a plan to transform part of a spa town which would see the pedestrianisation of its main street.

Warwickshire County Council posted on social media that it had received a "wide range of passionate views on the vision" for Leamington Spa, which looks at the future of its shopping, car parking, public transport and public spaces.

Under the plan, the Parade would be turned into a traffic-free area, with buses directed elsewhere and delivery vehicles given limited access.

A further drop-in session for people to have their say will be held on Tuesday at Leamington Library and views can also be given online until 28 July.

Mark Lee, chairman of Leamington Transformation Board, previously said there was "huge potential" to transform the Parade into an "incredible space".
