Chesney Hawkes and B*witched are to perform at a music festival in Accrington as the event returns after an "amazing first year".

Other acts to appear at Accrington Cricket Club in Lancashire in September include Clean Bandit and Sam Ryder.

It is hosted by arena and front of shirt sponsors International Music Event Production (iMEP) which said the 2024 festival was "the buzz of the town".

The event, which was headlined by Jess Glynne last year, will take place on two nights on 19 and 20 September.

iMEP chief executive, Eddy O'Brien, said the festival gave him "an immense sense of pride, because I'm an Accrington lad".

"The cricket club were really good because they gave us free rein," he said.

"So we can do what we want to do and we're not restricted.

"We want to make it an amazing event, last year was the buzz of the town.

"We brought £750,000 into the borough and it put Accrington on the map."

A full line-up of artists will be announced in the coming weeks and months, he added.
