Three people have been charged with assisting an offender after the murders of two best friends.

Max Dixon, 16, was stabbed alongside Mason Rist, 15, in a case of mistaken identity outside Mason's home in Knowle West, Bristol, on 27 January 2024.

Four teenagers were detained for life for their murders in December, while 45-year-old Antony Snook was also jailed for life in November.

Marcus Williams, 31, from Hartcliffe, Dominic Smith, 25, from Westbury, and Ellie Maddocks, 25, from Westbury, will appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court on 7 January, each charged with two counts of assisting an offender.

During sentencing at Bristol Crown Court Riley Tolliver, 18, and 17-year-old Kodishai Wescott were told they would each be detained for a minimum of 23 years.

A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were also detained for life with minimum terms of 15 and 18 years respectively.

Two men, Bailey Wescott, 23, of Whitchurch, and Jamie Ogbourne, 27, of Hartcliffe, were also jailed in December for helping to cover up the murders.

A man and a woman, who were charged with assisting an offender last year, will stand trial in April.
