A dozen fire crews spent nearly seven hours tackling a wildfire close to a golf course.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to Sandy Lane in Belton, near Great Yarmouth, at about 14:44 BST on Sunday after reports of a blaze on Belton Common, near Caldecott Hall Golf Club.

Three appliances, water carriers and a control unit from across the county worked to bring the flames under control and were stood down at about 21:35.

One crew returned to the scene on Monday morning to dampen the remaining hotspots.

The incident took place near electricity pylons but no power cuts were reported.
