A road in Kingsbridge, Devon, has reopened as police continue to investigate the death of a woman.

Devon and Cornwall Police said Aimee Pike, 22, died on the road at New Bridge on 23 April after an incident involving a vehicle. A man who has been charged with her murder appeared in court on Monday.

Police closed the A379 Embankment Road for several hours on Wednesday morning while officers photographed the area.

The force thanked drivers for their understanding and patience while the closure between the cemetery and Bowcombe Creek Bridge was in place.
