Police are appealing for information after a spate of burglaries

Detectives are linking a spate of burglaries in which cash has been stolen from residential properties.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the incidents took place at four residential properties in north Devon between Friday and Saturday.

Properties in Roundswell, Ilfracombe and Bideford were broken into on Friday, with a fourth break in at another property in Bideford on Saturday, a police spokesperson said.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or doorbell camera footage to contact them.

"Detectives believe these incidents are linked and are currently investigating the reports," a police spokesperson said.

"Officers will be present in and around the locations while those enquiries are being carried out."

The first incident took place at a property on Rockbear Avenue in Roundswell between 09:00 and 19:00 BST on Friday, police said.

The second took place on Queens Avenue, Ilfracombe at around 15:35 on Friday, with a third incident on Hawthorne Park, Bideford, occurring between 17:45 and 18:45 that day.

A fourth break-in happened on Northam Road, Bideford at around 20:45 on Saturday.

Police urged residents to be vigilant about home safety and making sure their homes are secure.
