Double-decker bus damaged in building collision
A double-decker bus has been badly damaged after its top deck collided with a bus station in Jersey.
No passengers were onboard at the time and no-one was hurt in the collision, which happened as the vehicle entered Liberation Station on the Esplanade in St Helier at about 05.10 GMT.
The top deck of the bus was badly crumpled with broken windows. The Esplanade was closed between Castle Street and Conway Street so workers could clear away the debris.
Liberty Bus posted on X: "Until further notice all buses coming in from the east and going out to the east will finish and start from the Esplanade."
The incident would be reported to Driver and Vehicle Standards "as standard procedure", Liberty Bus said in a statement.
