Festive farm vehicles prepared for tractor run
Nearly 100 festive farm vehicles are expected to trundle through Southam in Warwickshire for its second Christmas tractor run.
The event, organised by farming family Charley and Josh Peake, is set to begin at the Dallas Burston Polo Club at about 17:45 GMT on Friday.
Mrs Peake said she expected about 90 to 100 vehicles to take part, including tractors and smaller vehicles - all adorned with decorations and lights.
She told BBC CWR they decided to organise the first event last year, which involved 52 vehicles, after watching the tractor run in Banbury.
"I'd say we're going to be double the size tonight. We've had so much interest... a lot of local farmers have messaged saying they're going to bring their tractors," she added.
The Christmas convoy is expected to visit 11 locations before heading back to the Dallas Burston Polo Club:
- Southam Central - 18:15
- Flying Fields - 18:30
- Napton - 18:50
- Stockton - 19:10
- Long Itchington - 19:30
- Bascote - 19:50
- Ufton - 20:05
- Harbury - 20:20
- Bishop's Itchington - 20:40
- Deppers Bridge - 20:50
- Ladbroke - 21:00
Mrs Peake said she and her husband had been preparing their own tractor for about a week.
"We've spent quite a bit of money on the sound system on the back of the tractor so you'll definitely hear us coming tonight," she said.
The event will be raising money for Galanos House in Southam - a care home run by the Royal British Legion.
