Woman arrested after teenager stabbed

A woman has been arrested after a teenager was stabbed in a residential area of a Kent town.
The victim in his late teens, was assaulted near Rectory Road in Sittingbourne shortly after midnight, Kent Police said.
He was taken by air ambulance to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
A local woman, aged 19, was later arrested on suspicion of assault and taken into custody.
An investigation is under way and officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed an altercation or a disturbance in the area to contact them.
