More drivers were issued with parking fines outside a hospital A&E department than anywhere else in a council borough over a two-year period.
Almost 500 penalty charge notices (PCNs) were handed out for Godfrey Road in Halifax, near Calderdale Royal Hospital, between 2022 and 2024.
Calderdale Council said this generated £23,000 in revenue for the authority.
A Freedom of Information request found Bradford Road in Brighouse had the second highest number of PCNs, followed by parking areas near Halifax town centre.
According to the Local Democracy Reporting Service, which submitted the request, there were high numbers of fines for parking on Crossley Street; Old Market; High Street; Commercial Street; Shibden Park's Mereside car park; Crown Street; Harrison Road and Horton Street.
The council received more than £2m in parking fine revenue over the last two years. The 13,000 fines issued between 2022 and 2023 totalled £777,920, rising to £1,604,560 from more than 17,000 in 2023 to 2024.
The figures are based on the amount at the time of issue; the fine is reduced if paid within 14 days.
